To comply with CE?UKCA marking all fabricators must be able to demonstrate compliance with BS EN 1090 parts 1, 2 & 3: Execution of Steel Structures and Aluminium structures.
|
|
BS EN 1090-1 |
Requirements for conformity assessment of structural components explains that, since all structural steel is seen as safety-critical, manufacturers must document and implement a Factory Production Control (FPC) system and have the system certified by a notified body. |
BS EN 1090-2 |
Technical requirements for steel structures outlines what is required to ensure steel frames meet adequate levels of mechanical resistance, stability, serviceability and durability. |
BS EN 1090-3:2008 |
Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures. Technical requirements for aluminium structures |
EN1090 Execution Classes (EXC) |
BS EN1090-2 introduces the concept of execution class. This enables specifiers to select the level of quality management suitable for the construction product. To enable CE Marking of its fabricated steelwork, a steelwork contractor must declare and demonstrate its capability to produce a structure that will conform to a specified execution class. |
ISO 3834–1 |
The general criteria to be taken into account for the selection of the quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials. It applies to manufacturing, both in workshops and at field installation sites. |
ISO 3834–2 |
This defines the comprehensive quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials both in workshops and at field installation sites. Manufacturers working to EXC classes 3 and 4 are expected to comply with part 2. |
ISO 3834–3 |
The standard quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials both in workshops and at field installation sites. Manufacturers working to EXC2 are expected to comply with part 3. |
ISO 3834–4 |
This defines the elementary quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials both in workshops and at field installation sites. Manufacturers working to EXC1 are expected to comply with part 4 |
